It’s all about the Danbury area community for Pedro Gonzalez. Originally from the Dominican Republic Pedro’s family moved a lot in his early years until they moved to Danbury in the late 90s and put down roots. He is excited to work as a Mortgage Loan Originator for Savings Bank of Danbury because he believes in community banking and the impact it has on the quality of life in local communities.
On the job Pedro is able to help families become homeowners who then invest in their communities which grow and thrive. In his spare time, he works with young people helping them focus and succeed through athletics. He boxes at the Champs Boxing Gym and supports the Latino Scholarship Fund. Pedro credits the Danbury community with helping his family members become who they are today. He is proud to say his sister earned a Doctorate Degree in psychology and is a Professor at Cornell University and his brother is a former Army Engineer and now a Civil Engineer in Hawaii.
Pedro is a believer in lifelong learning. He attended Western Connecticut University and studied psychology. He is fluent in Spanish and English and is working towards fluency in Portuguese. He is a professional interpreter who has worked in the court system.
Prior to joining Savings Bank of Danbury, Pedro worked for J.P. Morgan and was a licensed insurance agent. He also was in real estate with Keller Williams. Pedro has expertise in purchase and refinance loans, including construction loans, first time home buyer loans, jumbo loans, FHA, community lending and investment properties.
